Default oem alarm problem (rattler 310D?)

my car will not start and trips the alarm if i try to start it up and take the keys out. its a spontanious chirping. and i cant shut it off with the remote.

ive looked around under the dash, and i somehow knocked a wire loose that comes out of the black "Rattler Model 310D" box. im another one of those wiring/electric noob guys. the wire is mostly black with a thin red stripe all the way down. i think if i plug it back in, i can use my electric starter again. and the alarm will stop going off all the time. i dont know where to plug it into. it is not a ground wire, bc i connected it to a bunch of metal stuff and the car still did not crank.

if anyone knows what that black/red wire is let me know ty

also, ive searched around and seen that some people have just disconnected the entire alarm brain and had success. if i can just disconnect that ****, or unplug an inline fuse i think i might try that also. im really getting tired of bump starting it. and that stupid alarm going off

OK first it is not an OEM alarm it is a DEI Rattler 310D, [as you said] it is a basic entry level alarm with doorlock relays built in and light flash relay built in.

Here id the owners/install guide... http://www.directeddealers.com...3.pdf

Are you sure the wire is black/red? There is no black/red wire on the alarm, unless it is coming from a starter cut relay harness, the orange wire, [H1/1 ground out when armed] should be connected to the S/C realy also.

Have you found the "valet" switch, [small push button momentary switch] yet? If not, do so and turn on ign. and press and hold valet button until alarm turns off, once off, turn ign. off wait a few sec. then turn ign. on then off and then press and release valet switch, the LED should come on solid and stay on, [alarm will not arm now] you may have to reprogram the remote(s) but find out what the black/red wire is, one more thing, does the wire come out of the alarm brain, [not one of the plugs]? if so it is the alarms ant. and it does not connect to anything. 94

haha, sure as hell that wire comes right out of the box, and there is a good chance it is just the antenna. im still not totally sure where i should be looking for this valet switch, i found a little **** close to where that black/red wire is coming out its a small little round **** with a slot for a flathead screwdriver or something

yes the ant, wire on that model is black/red, it should not be connected or cut, leave it alone. the **** you found is for adjustment of the shock sensor inside the brain. there should be a small 2 pin blue plug on the brain with black and grey wires coming out of it, follow these wires to the pushbutton switch. then follow the instruction fcm gave you to put it in valet mode.
