Default rough idle and shaking shifter

can't really explain it more than the title says. my idle is aroun 600 (+/-100) its a d15 motor w/ a dx 5sp tranny. only mods are i/h/e. that engine seems to idle a little rough and the shifter shakes. Its a noticable shake even when in gear. probably has a travel of around 1inch. i can hold the shifter and it shakes my arm. it doesn't do this all the time but more often than not. mostly when the engine is warm. When driving there is vibrations but it doesn't shake. what could this be? bushings? old motor mounts? idk please help

get the energy suspension bushing kit, that should fix it pretty good. Your bushing are prob worn out.

Would that not only make in marginally better with inserts?

Stock motor mounts for the extra quiet.

i didn't check my motor mounts but i did check my shift linkage bushings and those looked good so i don't think that those would be the cause. maybe dirty injectors?

lol, no dirty injectors would not cause your shifter to shake. You really can't tell a worn out bushing from looking at it. It may potenially be your motor mounts are broken, but that would make the whole car shake.

would bushings really make up for 1 inch movement? is it hard to change them? and could i get them at a local auto parts store of would i have to go to honda dealer?

i also have been loosing power in my car. i did a compression on it and they were: 150 145 145 152. This is getting low right? could this have anything to do with it?

dude... give up on the engine itself being the problem. Its power transfer parts that cause the problem. Such as mounts and bushing. You can by aftermarket bushing anywhere for cheap.

wtf? why would he give up on the motor. changing mounts and bushings isn't going to make it idle higher. check your iacv. the screen may be clogged.
