Default New Type Of Gauge?

Today I went to pepboys to pick up a oil press. gauge. Well when I got home I opened the box and when I looked inside I couldnt find the press. Sender. Did I get the wrong kind of gauge or is there something that is missing?

I would like to know if I should take it back tomorrow or if I need to buy something to install it. Thanks for the help in advance!!

there is no sender, because you see that little plastic tube? yea your ~200º F oil which is soo dern critical to your engine runs through that. and into your cabin. and if it breaks (which it has to someone on this message board on his way to work no less) your going to be covered in HOT oil.

overall not a good idea. take it back and get an electronic unit.

get an electric one, or be a baller and make a cut in the hood and mount a gauge pod in that cut out. seen it done a couple of time. more of a muscle car thing i think but pretty cool either way IMO

lol you're funny. i used one on my old VW Corrado - A PAIN IN THE *** to install - plus, you have to tap the engine block and i'm sure you don't want to do that - angled tap already existed for me but I have to change the endpieces and i wasn't so sure if it affected my supercharger feed either - just go electronic
