Yeah, people ask me all the time. Especially since I am rolling stock everything else except for an AEM CAI and some Rota Slips. Sounds great though.

This thread is too funny....A bunch of posers, talking about how loud and cool there CAI sounds on there LS's...And how this CAI now magically gives them 1000 HP, so now they can beat every car on the street...LOL...

the whistling noise that u hear an ls motor make above 6k is just the noise of a lot of air rushing into the engine. nothing special

i get people asking me if i'm a GSR before they even see my car.

"oh you drive an integra. is it a gsr?"

when i was NA, i know exactly what you're talking about. actually when i baselined my car it sounds like vtec is kicking in as the resonance frequencies change. I have a video, but I dont have anywhere to post it. just take my word for it.

Haha thread/

I had a ls motor, B18A, Swapped in a B16A with y1 tranny.

Both have CAI, and its a bit diffrent sounding when Vtec does crossover.

My CAI on my B16A 90 integra, at idle you can hear it bounce off walls, the noise.
Pisses me off. but whatever,

Edit: ls/vtec huh, yeah you'd own em

But uh, A 1st gen JDM B16A head flow more CFM tha the USDM B18C5 does.

Edit again: cant tell if your sayin B18C5 head is who said that quote or if thats what you did to your engine. ah its late..

yeah, so i've dynoed at least 15 cars with cold air as opposed to stock intakes, and.. i don't wanna make anyone cry, because it is louder, but uh.. on average, you lose about 1 horse, they help if you actually tune your car, or if you drive an srt-4.. the mopar one actually gained 7 horse, i was kinda shocked, but then again, that's turbo, whole different situation.

5 grand and only still have like 130 ft lbs of torque (on a good day).

OR

Taking out things like the whole interior, AC, Power steering, ABS, and Cruise to make up for the lack of torque.
