lightweight battery into a 92-95 hatch
i read up on the threads about the lightweight batteries, i know you're saving around half the weight of stock battery, and it's recommended to put the battery in the back of the car due to heat under the hood drastically reducing life of the battery............my question is, the weight saved by the small battery, wouldn't having to run the wire from the batter to the front of the car for power negate the fact you saved weight off the original stock battery in the stock location?
...........or am i just overthinking this one?

you totally didn't get my question, i didn't say do you relocate it to save weight. please read fully next time. i said when you run the lighter battery to the back of your car, then you have to run power from battery back to the front of your car, wouldn't all that wire be fairly heavy..........i would assume you'd use 4guage maybe, or a little smaller, still seems like it could add up the weight.
yeah if use the same batt ur actually gonna add weight b/c u need to use a heavy guage wire too b/c ur sending power over a long dist. and dont want to loose amps through resistance
