i swapped a b18b into my 96 hatch the motors a 98..
it runs but it wont go past 10 mph whats wrong? ne one got ne ideas?
sorry for the lack of info but i dont know what to say other than this..
help me out honda tech!

 

your going to have to give some more info. Does the engine rev normal? Maybe a bad clutch, or you didnt install the tranny right? Did you replace anything when you did the swap? More info please.

 

i didnt replace any thing except spark plugs and i even torqued those down to the right spec.

yeah .. im gonna get the code it was running a 65 code (o2 sensor) but thats it...

 

do you have the correct ecu?

 

Lets start with, What does it do when you get to 10 mph?

 

i start to accel.. and it sputters like when you let off the clutch to quickly when you take off and slows down and stalls.

 

sounds about right to me..... j/k

does it idle normally?
