Default Car wont start Lights dont turn on, engine doesnt turn over NOTHING (searched)

Ok so a few days ago it was raining and i had my lights on when i was going to work. Got there, left the lights on and a few hours later car wont start. I stick the key in and try to turn it on but i get nothing. No annoying beeping when the key is in, lights wont turn on, NOTHING. I changed my battery and still get nothing. I got no idea.

I tried searching but i couldnt find anything with the same problem as me. I really need to get my car up and running.

Please excuse my noobie-ness. By the way its a stock d15b7 automatic if it makes any difference. Someone please help

If you cross the polarity. (In other words you hooked up the battery backwards)
Its a pretty good chance you blew your main fuse. Its 40 amp green fuse located in the under hood fuse box.

Maybe you blew your main relay?

If it was your main relay you would atleast have power. ( for example lights radio)

Did you make sure you have good connections.

Also, are you sure you got a fully charged battery.

Well i took the battery from my integra and tried it and got nothing. That same battery starts the integra.

Not sure but would the connections just give out like that? I mean everything was fine a few hours earlier.

Ill try and get my battery charged and see if it works with that.

Keep the suggestions coming

Did you look closely through the window.

Yup looked through the window. The metal piece is still in-tact. Am i supposed to remove the screws and take it out to look at it?

when you turn the ignition key to the on position, do the lights in the cluster light up. it could be your starter, have someone tap the solenoid with a screwdriver while you try to start the car.

Nope, when i turn the key i get absolutely nothing. No cluster lights, no dome light, no headlights. Nothing. If it were the starter i would be able to at least get some lights on wouldn't I?

Bad ground or bad power connection. Try running a jumper cable from the ground of the battery to the transmission ground and see if everything comes to life. If so, check your battery ground. If that's not it, use a volt meter to verify you do have power coming out of the main fuse.

you need to get a multimeter so you can start jumping around and checking voltage in different places. first thing I would check is the ground to the battery. if you put your red lead on the red post then black lead on the black post then get your voltage say its 12.6 and then go red on red post then black on chassis get your voltage there lets say there is 11v there is 1.6v drop and is because of a bad ground. if you find that there is no bad ground then start checking for voltage at the fuse box and go from there eventually you will find the discrepancy and repair as necessary.
