Default Auto to Manual, missing rear mount, can I test drive?

I might be able to rig something up using parts of the auto rear mount, but with the others but no rear or no rear properly can I at least take the car out for a test drive around the block keeping it under 2500 or 3000 rpms?

Thanks, couldn't get a rear out of the junkyard, I'm so screwed.

If you have the front one you'll be fine for a test drive. Expect the engine to torque itself around alot, and you'll feel that in the shifter. The only risk you're really taking is tearing up the other mounts you have, as they'll be doing double time. Test drive it, but get a mount in there soon!

i would try and ride the clutch if you do this so you dont tq the engine to much..you can mess up the other mounts as well as the axles..

Well, as of now I can't get the freaking driver side axle in. It seems like it has a few millimeters of space on the tranny side and I can't even get it close to in the hub. As soon as the splines get to where they barely lock it feels like something hits a brick wall and I can't figure it out.

Grr, I hate this so much.

I did that for about two hours so far, and some of that time included serious smacking with a hammer.

The problem isn't the splines hitting on the hub though, seems like something else, I don't ******* know though, pissed at my own ineptitude.

I think it's in but the seal was pushed in, which made it look out. *shrug*
