Default Sandblasting suspension pieces, whats a good paint when i'm done?

Thinking about sandblasting somne suspension pieces. Instead of powdercoating, what would be a good paint/coating to make them all shiny while also preventing rust?

Well if you are going to blast, then prime, you can practically use any paint you would like. Krylon if your heart desires.

Hell yes! We use POR (Paint Over Rust)-15 where I work to prime large military equipment and it's the BEST primer on the market but it runs about $125/gallon.

Blast your peices clean, then allow a few days or so for a little rust build up and hit it with a couple thin coats of POR. Those things will last forever....

Best bet is to have them powdercoated. For as cheap as it is to have done (at least where I am) is well worth it. Paint is cool and it looks nice for a while, but powdercoating lasts a lot longer. You have infinite options for colors as far as pearl, metallic, gloss, candy, textured, etc. My two cents.

POR 15 is awesome. if you want to paint another colour over it, do so while the POR is still tacky, otherwise its gunna stay black/gray. Also, if you can find it, there is an awesome industrial paint called "Steel-It". It has a stainless steel pigment and is solvent resistant. We used to paint gearboxes at my old work with that stuff. About 30 bux a can (CDN)
