Mine does it too, make sure it's not too tight. Otherwise, I guess stuff is just getting worn in.

I replaced my timing belt last week on my 97 LX V6. I didn't have any whining like that. Did you check the water pump?????.

Whining noise, after you removed Alternator belt and power steering belt? Yes your timing belt is too tight.

Fix: remove everything as you going to replace the timing and balancer belt, turn crank bolt until crank pulley and cam pulley TDC then loosen the timing belt adjuster bolt completely. Remove the balancer belt from the engine.

Now tight the adjuster bolt (just hand tight – not too tight) put the 19mm socket and turn the engine counter clockwise 3 or 5 times, now set the everything to TDC again, loosen the adjuster bolt 1 turn, then turn the crank pulley 3 teeth counter clockwise, tight the adjuster bolt (make sure you tight this pretty good – but don’t over tight) now get one of your timing cover bolt and tight the timing belt tensioner pulley on to the engine block (it will hold the timing belt till you install the balancer belt).

Now bring everything back to TDC, then make sure you align front and rear balancer shaft to their marks and install the balancer belt. Then turn the engine 3 full turn counter clockwise using 19mm socket, again set everything to TDC. Loose the adjuster bolt 1 turn then turn the crank pulley 1 turn, now tight the adjuster bolt for good, but not too tight (don’t brake it)

Check everything, if you check the timing belt tension you’ll notice it’s little loose yes that’s the way its. Now turn the engine around 5 times using 19mm crank bolt, turn till TDC, verify your marks, and install everything back. Start the car you have no more whining noise

ohh, I checked your video; yes it is timing belt too tight noise.

anyway to get a little larger picture? It's sorta hard to see what bolt your referring to.

From the looks of it though, are you referring to the bolt that holds the timing belt tensioner in place while you install the timing balancer belt? If so, once you have the timing belt installed and tensioned, that bolt holds the tension on the timing belt while you install the timing balancer belt. Once the timing balancer belt is installed and tensioned, remove that bolt holding the timing belt tensioner in place.

I hope that is what you were asking.

hey that's my living room!!!

YES you need to remove that bolt!! that's only to tension the balancer belt, that's a timing cover bolt, you'll need that to properly reinstall the timing covers.

BTW - whining timing belt = TOO TIGHT.
