I heard that they can sometimes have problems scraping the ground, so should I get 4-1 or 4-2-1?.......and also the welding I heard was not done well and can fall apart, am I right???......please vouck for what I heard, are they even worth it?

megan only makes 4-2-1 for the h23, unless you've got some "custom" order one. ive heard good things about megan headers/exhausts as far as construction goes...

on the h23 it makes good power vs price. theres a thread on here about a guy making like 10 hp off it. search for it

yup that was me.
mine broke though because i bottomed out denting the secondaries, putting a hole in the flex pipe, and breaking the flange and the hangar.
only bad thing is that the hangar breaks easily and the gaskets it comes with suck.
i heard megan now makes them with 2.5inch collectors instead of 2.25inch which is what i got.

so the before dyno was stock and the after dyno was with a megan header and no other mods? 11 whp gain is impressive, i remember seeing a prelude si awhile back in import tuner that gained 20 whp with I/H/E.

from import tuner june 04
1995 prelude se baseline 122.4 whp/124.8 trq
w/ aem cold-air intake, skunk2 catback and dc sports 4-2-1 header
134.1 hp, 135.2 trq

that engine responds very well to boltons, must be because its such a heavy breather, i am considering picking up a 92+ prelude si for my next project car, they seem like they are easier to find and a lot cheaper than 4th gen prelude vtecs

yeah, I got my 1994 prelude si for $4300 all stock and a little bit of rust on the driver's side shock mount and cruise control, and a little bit on the power steering lines, but she runs like a beauty, Iguess I just sacrificed looks for performance, but it was worth it, only 118,000 miles..........so the megan header looks like it has a flex pipe

also because all the stock components are really restrictive probably for emissions. a guy in my city has an h23 with stage 3 crower cams and he's pulling on all the h22 ludes here. if i wasn't turbocharging my h23 i'd probably do what that guy did or build an h23 vtec. the stroke is really good.
