96 civic Help!!!!!
wat up, i just did a z6 intake manifold swap on my d16y7. it went in pretty good and it was very easy. the only thing is that the car is idling at 4000rpms. need help. why is it doing that?

Check all of your vacuum hoses. It could be anywhere.

bump for an answer...my buddy did the same thing on his cx hatch. Always had a high idle before it was warmed up. Never found out what it was, we checked all his vacuum lines too, didn't have a leak either

vaccum leak - make sure you cleaned off all the old gasket material.
throttle cable too tight
adjust idle screw
IACV fix/rewire?

adjust idle screw
IACV fix/rewire?

i almost know what it is, your stock intake manifod on the y7 was a down draft pile and you upgraded, and your ecu isn't recognizing the increased airlfow so its idleing high. mine did the same thing only i put a throttle body spacer on. good luck man!
Y7 and Z6 throttle body is the same diameter. How will a throttle body spacer affect idle?
