Default '04 GSXR 600 price check

Hey guys, I rode dirtbikes before but I am thinking of getting a street bike. My buddy's sister is selling an '04 GSXR 600. It is lowered 4", she is a little short which works out great because I'm only 5'4 myself. Bike only has about 200 miles, she barely rode it and I think it fell down once or twice, a little fall but not major drops. Whats the price range I should expect? I figure I buy a use bike for my first bike then upgrade later. Thanks all!

jesus lowered 4"? raise it back up. you can handle it with only being 5'4" at stock height. at least raise it up so it's only like 1" lowered or something

GSXR 600 for your first bike? I'm not going to recommend it, but it's your money and life. The Gixxer will be more than adequate for even a very experienced rider.

The price depends on where you live. There is one around here going for $6300. It's clean with 8000 miles. Check your local listings for better pricing.

Finally got some pictures. 03 Suzuki GSX-R 600

The bike has less than 300 miles on it, has a dog bone for short riders (what does that mean?) and I believe it is lowered 4 inches like I said earlier. How much should I pay for this?

"Dog Bones" are what control the height in the rear, The longer they are the Lower the rear will be!

I am not a huge fan of the 03' 600, They are already low from the factory and have a very fat/heavy feel to them.

I would not pay over 5k for one even if its in perfect shape!

I would laugh at this bike if I saw it at a stop light for being so low.

Ok ok ok...let me try to sort this out...

03 600....less than 300 miles....owned by a girl...been dropped....is lowered (by the way NOT 4 inches. The most you can go on any gixxer model is 2 & 1/2 in the back and about the same in the front...i would know.....uhm...for these reasons...

Your going to want to try to stiff them, lol.

Oh, has it even had its first ******* oil change? For the love of pete change the damn oil first.

I'd go about 4300-5k.

Anywhere in there...

Thanks for the reply but let me clarify some stuff. It hasn't been "dropped" more like, it fell on a kickstand and the plastic mirror got a little scratch. Thats it. Anyways, I really want a CBR, I have two options. Get this 04 Honda CBR 600RR for about 6k, less than 500 miles on it or go with the GIXXR for around 4500-5k ish? Both bikes belong to a husband and wife that bought it but never really rode it.

If you get a bike in the super-sport 600 class knowing as much as you do about bikes you will die from it.

How many miles do you have on sportbikes (motocross does not count)?

Not a whole lot but I do not have much to live for anymore. What 'starter' bike would you recommend?

Did it just get real dark in here?

I were you, i'd try and find a 250-500cc (eg; Ninja 250R, 500R, Suzuki GS500, etc) bike and at least get a few hundred miles of seat time on it before you try and move up to a RR or GSXR..

I agree with EGmike.

Huh?

A long-wheelbase Gixxer Sixxer would be hard to catch from a roll.

Yes, I meant a dig. I don't street race much.

And a 600 is a lot easier to launch than a litrebike. A stretched 600 is probably the easiest thing to launch, since wheelies aren't as much of a concern.
