Ok I have a 95 accord Ex with a JDM H22 swap. I have no tach so I wanted to know two things. First what is the maximum speed I should be able to go to in 1st gear. Than lastly does vtec is 2nd gear supposed to pull harder or the same as in 1st gear. On my car vtec 1st gear does not pull no where much as in 2nd and 3rd.

 

1st...get a tach or get yours working.

2nd...quit using the *** dyno.

my 1st gear pulls all the way to like 30-32 mph. VTEC pulls depending on the condition of the motor. IMO its stronger in 1st than 2nd.

 

Thx for that info, on my motor vtec feels stronger by far in 2nd gear. I asked this question is the first place because I think my h22 in either in limp mode or it’s not engaging in vtec in 1st properly.
