slotted vs. drilled?

hahah!
they are functional though in this case.

so according to our h-t experts there is absolutely no difference between the two rotors?...ok well what atleast is the concept behind the two different rotors? i know theres no hp gain, and that in some cases it reduces whp because of the increased rolling mass, but in otherwords if one were to choose between the two u just want to pick the one that looks better?
If you were so detailed in your first post...
Drilled: Make sure the holes are cast, not actually drilled. Pre-cast holes prevent cracking.
Slotted: Limits the amount of times you can resurface the rotors. After that they're just blank rotors.
Drilling/slotting reduces overall mass of the rotor, therefore reducing its effectiveness to withstand heat, unless being continuously cooled, which it does at an improved rate compared to stock.

There are a lot of opinions on how slots and drilled rotors perform in braking situations. If you drive your car hard at the track making up time by braking as late as possible, avoid drilled rotors even if they are casted into the rotor. You'll start to see small cracks/fissures around the holes even on a casted rotor.
Directionally veined rotors improve cooling efficiency and are worth the extra bucks, even on a blank rotor. If you dig the look, get both drilled and slotted otherwise save your money.
