Default D15B7 timing belt fix

I have finally gotten to start fixing the timing belt issue (broken) on my 93 Civic. I just started the teardown, and when I went to remove the A/C bracket, I noticed what looks like a rubber damper with a bolt and nut through it. I turned it a little, but it I am not sure if it has to be removed to take the bracket off. I am a newbie in the Civic world, so any help is appreciated. I have a Haynes manual but it does not have pictures of the bracket. Does anyone have pics of the bracket or can you tell me what needs to be removed to get the bracket off?

you dont need to take the a/c compressor, or the bracket off, just the a/c adjuster/idler bracket. unbolt damper from the bottom of the frame two 14mm bolts, you will have to anyways to lower the motor.

Thanks! I will be working on it this weekend. I hope I don't have any surprises. This car quit while idling at the dealership and I hope I don't have bent valves. I have a compression tester to check compression after the timing belt is replaced. Do you know of anything else I should be looking for?

umm, not really, everything is pretty straight forward, just make sure to get the timing marks right, after setting tdc. and tensioning it right. then spin the motor over a couple times by hand, and recheck the marks.

I forgot to update you and thank you again for the help. It turns out that the problem was not a broken belt, but the cam pulley bolt backed out and broke the key way on the end of the camshaft. I was able to rescue the camshaft, ordered a new pulley and replaced the belt and water pump. We did a compression test on each cylinder and they test fine. Then car runs great and is back on the road.
