Default Quick question about IAB's

Ok quick question, I just finished up my h22 swap and wired in Vtec and my IAB's and as soon as I wired in my IAB's I noticed when I turn my key to on but not start the car, the IAB valve slides back, I'm not sure if this is off or on, but then when I take the key out it slides back and makes the vacuum popping noise. Is this normal? Or is it suppose to only happen around 5000 rpm? Thanks for any help!

the iab should be closed at idle when you get around 4900rpm the control valve opens and releases vacuum and then a spring in the iab plate opens the valve

So is mine messed up? Mine seams to open I think as soon as I turn the key on but not the car. I assume it's opening although I don't know for sure, it's switching forward and make a popping noise I assume is the vacuum pressure, is it suppose to do this? Is this closed or open? Anyone else's switch over when u turn the key on? Thanks for the help.

I know whats happening when the car is off there is no vacum applied so the plates are open. when the car starts it produces vacum and its not opening its realy closing the plates. when the car is off the bypass will always be open. sounds like it is working exactly as it should
