Accord belt replacement
I have a 90 DX accord (so no A/C). Ive been searching on here for 15 minutes trying to find out how to replace these two belts. Is it as easy as unbolting one pulley from each and just taking it off or is there a tensioner that swings? Any help?
Thanks
Thanks
ok, what do you mean adjust it? I never work on this car, im always working on my camaro LOL
Forgive me for my ignorance. What pump are you talkin about and where is it located? I feel retarded asking for this much help on this car... HAHA
Do you not just unbolt one of the pulleys then?

Oh so the car probably doesn't have power steering either. Nice. I would love to to the timing belt on it
It's hard to explain how to loosen the adjuster. It's similar to most other alternators. Probably even to your camaro (if it's an older one).
The best way I can come up with is to looses the two bolts that fasten it to the block and then there will be a smaller bolt (probably a 10MM that will release the tension on the alternator.

no, it has power steering. This isnt the timing belt tho (that has already been changed out). Im just talking about the two belts on the side of the block. They are starting to squeak and look worn.
I gotta look at this closer, or maybe i am just totally missing what you are saying.

wow... that is actually a really good tool, never knew autozone had that.
wish they had more diagrams, but beggars cant be choosers. Helped out a bit. What a **** poor design for adjusting tension... a belt on my camaro took more time to jack up the car than it did to change it. Figures only an import would have a design this bad...
