... and have put 50 miles on it and had one guy rev at me, and gotten one ricer flyby. Both in Honda products.
The car has been down since February for a new engine and other goodies to be installed. Bought a used engine, got it built to SCCA Improved Touring specs (.020 over, legally raised ompression .5, some other things). Quaife, accusump and a few other odds and ends, too.
Finally picked it up this morning, and I have the honor of putting 500-600 miles on it w/o breaking 4,500 rpm. But that should be out of the way by the time my first race rolls around in two weeks at Summit Point.
The car has no catalytic converter anymore and is, uh, noisy. Slightly more pleasant than an uncorked rotary.
Anyway, I got it home and went to work removing some weight. It's already pretty much stripped but there are still a few things to go. I lopped off 21 pounds in about two hours, and still have some sound deadening left as well as the radio, speakers and antenna. It was on the scales at the shop where the work was being done, and it was a beastly 2,457 pounds without driver. By ITS rules, I can't go under 2,445 with driver, so there's still a lot left to go.
After that, I decided to go get gas, and along the way I was revved on by a kid in a Civic EX (black, black steel wheels, some kind of exhaust). Then an Integra with some kind of exhaust did a ricer flyby after I casually passed him on 395 S. I just pointed and laughed both times. In future encounters, I hope to get next to them at a stoplight so I can say, "Hah! I'm not even going to waste my time -- I can beat you in my truck!"

I'll dyno it after it's broken in and after my first race ... and after the ECU gets reprogrammed for race gas.
Yes, it's on Victoracers ... on Panasports.
I point and laugh at the riceboy poseurs because they obviously want attention, so I will give them attention.
Emissions? It passed! I have the little slip in the glove box that says so.

Sweet, you should have the 500-600 miles on it by next weekend to run at Fed Ex right?!?!?!

Yeah, it should be past the milestone by the FedEx autocross.
Hoping for 150-160 on the dyno with race gas and a new program on the ECU. My old SE-R did 144 at the wheels with no motor work and on pump gas.
Took out 10 more pounds today!

RASCAL! RASCAL! RASCAL!
Any chance of us all piling in for a "Quiet Riot Run" before stereo removal.
Long live the appliance!
If anyone gets this besides slowSER, seek mental appropriate help.

Have not the slightest idea about the song, but do I get any point for remembering Ross' so-fast-it'll-fly-with-wings-so-it-got-vinyl-ones "Dodge Toaster"?
I think I had to call that over the PA once and had someone in the vicinity explain the name to me. LOL.
