Default engine not starting?

I have a 1988 civic sedan 1.5 DX. when I take off from a stop the car goes threw first gear with no problums, as soon as it goes in to 2nd it boggs down and also when I'm going along fine and then as soon as I start to accelerate it boggs down. The only way to go faster if to put the gas padal almost all the way to the floor and then it down shifts and takes off like a bat out of hell. I've replaced the fuel filter the cap and rotar the spark plugs and wires. Can any one help me with this problum. And how do I get the code when the check engine light comes on? What you guys know! And now my car stalled on me coming home today and I had to tow it home. I was going about 60 and whent to pass someone and it started booging down again. So I floored the gas and it reived up and then stalled. After towing it home I tryed spraying starter fluid while turning it over and nothing. I was thinking before this it was in the fuel system. Now it must be in the elec. system. I need some input because know I have no car to go to work in and I have to freeze my *** off on my yamaha.

Try replacing the coil/igniter, that can cause no spark, if you've replaced everything else. must be the coil or igniter.
