I done an extensive search for information reguarding Grade Logic in Honda's cars here on this board and got 3threads with unanswered questions.


Who know somethign about it?

i want to know when Honda started putting it into their cars (year)...

 

If you explained a little more you might get an answer. For instance, wtf is grade logic?

 

Hondas™ grade logic control is designed to hold the transmission in a lower gear while descending or climbing a hill.

 

I know for sure that the 6th gen civic 4-spd automatic had it in 1996. Whether it was an option or standard in the AT, I don't know. But it was available for 1996.


Some info about Grade Logic Control (talks about a CR-V but should function similarly):

Going downhill, the transmission will downshift if the driver applies the brakes, providing engine braking and creating less wear on the regular brakes.
