Block/head problem - Something not sealing...
OK... I put the head on the block, torque it down... do a simple compression check. Spark plugs removed, cams removed (all valves closed) i put my compression tester on 1 - holds compression... cyl 3 and 4 the same thing.. but number 2 seems to be sucking air in and out of the intake valve...(one of them)
So i pull the head, and try head number 2...
does same thing.... same cylinder
Try head number 3, tested this head before it came off the bad block.. and it held compression in all 4 cylinders...
it does the same thing but not nearly as bad...
what's going on... Is my block fubarred?
I'll spray carb cleaner into the intake ports, and it pools above the valve, untill i crank it over and it sucks it down into the cylindar... 9valve "closed")
So obviously something is wrong... or the compression is so good, it's sucking it in from the weakest spot... cause none of the valves open to allow pressure to escape...
Any idea's... i'l lost... ( and i have a clue, not a newb engine guy...)
I'll throw the cam's in today and align the timing and try this again...
