bad IM port job cause F'ed up idle???
like the title says....i bought a DIY ported ITR IM off a buddy of mine, and my car idles like ****.
things ive done to check it.....
-replaced FITV and IACV (they both work)
-checked for leaks
-unplugged IACV, idle drops but still way too high
-checked TB cable resting screw
-checked timing
no CELs, idle stays right at 2200ish and wont drop unless IACV is unplugged.
the IM was ported on all 4 of the ports, he used a gasket to mark it i guess, and around the TB mount itself where the hole is....
...rather than being l_l shaped its more like /_\.....could this be the culprit?

if there is a vacuum leak then yes the car will idle badly.
even if the port job sucked.....it should still idle good as long as there are no vacuum leaks.
spray some throttle body cleaner around all the vacuum lines and gaskets to make sure you don't have a leak somewhere your not seeing.
