Default "Borg & Beck" clutch... BAD IDEA?

My clutch is taking a **** on me.. so I took it into the shop and he gave me an estimate. For around $400 I'm not gonna complain, but he said he would order a "Borg & Beck" clutch (which I've never heard of). I tried to find some info on their parts online and it basically seemed that they were just a conventional clutch.. and it seemed as if they only had parts available for domestic vehicles. Should I order a Exedy or ACT clutch and have him put that in instead? I have a 95 Prelude H22 motor with basic bolt ons. He can get me this "Borg & Beck" for $180 which is a great price.. any advice ???

you get what you pay for, go with something that you or other people have heard about. I have a Spec stg 2 clutch on my b16 and I love it. Hardly any pedal pressure at all but it locks up like an crocadile in florida.

i definitly wouldnt go with it, i havent heard of it so it doesnt make it bad, but also doesnt make it good...... go with like act, clutchmasters, exedy, spec, tilton ect.... and get a clutch that will fit your applications needs, dont go with sumthing too weak if you are going with a motor to pull strong numbers.

i love the clutchmasters stage 3 carbon kevlar clutches, great pedal feel and pulls hard like a puck clutch but no harsh engaugement..

but your best bet is the act hdss or xtss those are good clutches and they have a wide range of useage

Thanks for the replies guys... I guess I'll order a SPEC, ACT, Exedy, or Clutchmasters and just have him put it in.
