Can someone please post pics of where on the car I can mount jack stands
i dont know about pics and i dont have my digi camera right now so i'll just tell you. on all the cars i've seen you can put them under the frame, behind the front tires and in front of the rear. you'll see a little peice of metel that sticks out more than anything else around it, its right there. also you might be able to use a stock crossmember and the metel that the rear tow hook is connected to. if you have any doubt look in your owners manual or download a shop manual, its in there. if you cant find one look in the fist couple stickied theads at the top of the forum.
This is the only picture I have of that area.. If you look in this spot behind the front wheels (there's also one in front of the rear wheels as well) You will see a tab stickign down about 1/2" lower than the rest of the car, that's about 3 inches long. Use that location for the stands.
my 2 cents
if you're using a floor jack:
i cut a 2x4 piece of wood about 5 inches long. then i cut a groove in it so that the "piece hanging down further than the rest" doesn't get smushed when jacking on it.
before that i just put a piece of 1/2" plywood inboard of that spot and jacked on that, that worked also.
if you're using the jack that came with the car... that 'notch' is already there.
