What kind of speakers does 1999 accord have????????????????
The stock speakers are typically made by Pioneer, but don't go thinking that they're anything like the Pioneers you can buy at Best Buy or anything. The stock speakers are the cheapest of cheap... Paper cones, foam surrounds, paper tweeter. 6.5 in front, 6x9 rear. "Plenty of bass" depends on the person.
The VERY first thing I did the day my 01 came home from the dealer was to rip the rear deck speakers out. They were trash Pioneer OEMs that sounded like garbage. A new set of REAL Pioneers from Best Buy made ALL the difference in the world, even with the stock headend unit.
stock speakers have a little bit of bass, nothing at all compared to my alpine type s. honestly speaking the stock speakers are garbage and i wouldnt run them too loud because when they blow it sounds like crap. if you seriously think they have a lot of bass tho u dont know what bass is lol. and i would never reccomend a sub in ur car cuz it will blow u away. the paper cones on the stock speakers are just awful, i ripped mine installing my new speakers.
To the OP,
Did your brother buy the car used, by any chance? The previous owner might have changed them out already. Look up from the trunk at the magnet and see what it says. I'm more interested in how many watts they are, as that would be a sure giveaway if they are factory or not.
Oh, and of course your Integra doesn't have any bass. You have 6.5s or smaller all the way around. 6th gen Accords have 6x9s in the rear.

Did they say how many watts? I believe stock 6x9s are rated at 15 watts.

I have an 02, and the speakers have a treated cloth surround, not foam. And I concur with the original poster, they do put out quite a bit of bass for stock speakers.

Maybe YOU don't know what bass is. In my opinion, the speakers put out a lot of bass. The only drawback is when the stock head unit starts clipping, all you get is distortion instead of bass.
If you're saying that the bass they put out is not loud enough, then why are you comparing stock speakers to some high-end aftermarket speakers? How much bass can you expect from stock speakers? As much as from a sub?????
That's like you dropping in a 300 hp motor in your honda and then complaining that the stock 150 hp motor sucks. The 150 hp motor gets the car moving, and it does so very well. Just look at all the people driving unmodified cars; they don't complain. Same applies for the stock speakers. Just because you're used to something much better than stock doesn't mean that stock sucks.

This statement just proved that you don't know what bass is. Maybe the original poster would want deep bass extension (impossible from 6x9s), and not necessarily louder bass. You're thinking that "bass" is something that you can hear from 2 blocks away. Well, let me tell you this: I have a 15 inch sub in my car with over 2 inches of excursion (and I'm using very little of that excursion). From your statement, you're saying that this is overkill for me because I think the stock speakers put out enough bass. Well, it isn't. The sub doesn't "blow me away." I have it set up so you can't even tell I have a sub in the car. I'm still running the stock front speakers and no rears, and I'm pretty sure that overall, my setup sounds better than yours. I have a good sub so I can get quality bass, not loud bass.

Then you should learn how to handle speakers. The cone isn't just gonna rip on its own. If you try to carry the speaker by the cone, then yes, it will probably rip. But if you handle them by the basket, chances of the cone ripping are very slim.

His pioneers are stock. Mine are ts-09096s rated at 15w nom. 30w max. The ratings on his should be the same.
