VSS WIRING help please
alright so i just converted to obd-1, got a jdm guage cluster, and an electronic vss, i also got the plug to plug into my vss but i do not know how to wire it up, i have the colors: black, yellow/blue, and yellow/white. in that exact order comming off the plug, what do these wires go to is my question, i heard that the black wire is ground, next wire is power (but i am not sure, i read somewhere that it is only 5volt??? where do i get 5 volt), and the last wire is signal (which i know where it goes on the harness but what pin does it go into on the ecu???) any help would be appreciated, thanx guys
its ez...
black is ground
yel/blu is 12v power you can tap any yel/black wire at the A plug at the ecu
the yel/white needs to tap the vss wire at the ecu that leads to the cluster

ok...assuming you grounded and ran switch power correctly to the vss... what your going to do is...:
1 in the back of your jdm cluster you will have a either blue or orange wire on the location b6 (from left to right wires facing at you) that is the speed signal to the cluster
2 on your stock harness you will have a yellow and red wire (connect that to your b6 pin) well that yellow and red wire runs to the ecu to pin b16
3 tap the vss signal (blue wite) wire to ecu pin b16 and your all set. now the singal from the vss goes to the ecu (needed for vtec) and back to the cluster so you get speed readings
NOTE!!!!! ON YOUR STOCK HARNESS YOU WILL HAVE TWO YELLOW-RED WIRES THE ONE WITH SILVER DOTS IS THE OIL PRESSURE!!!!! DO NOT MIX THEM !!!! THE ONE U NEED IS ONLY YELLOW WITH A RED LINE AND ON MY CASE SLIGHTLY TICKER THAN THE OIL PRESSURE.
IF YOU NEED PICTURES OR MORE DETAILED HELP LET ME KNOW, I HOPE THIS WORKS... IT TOOK ME OVER A MONTH TO FIGURE OUT.

On the back of the cluster...look for the yel/red wire......run that to the vss (yel/white wire) then tap into the red/yel wire on the ecu. it took me a couple tried to get it right....make sure you tap into the correct yel/red wire as there are 2 different ones (vss & oil press)
