Default Alpinestars =

I bought an A* spinner jacket last fall through a local shop, wore it for a few thousand miles and then the zipper crapped out - jammed up and wouldnt release, and it had started to separate from the leather it was sewn to.

So.... I call 'em up, and they said send it back. Didnt ask for my receipt or where I bought it, and after I got around to sending it in I had it back in a little over 3 weeks with a new zipper that appears to be sturdier than the one that broke. Cost me $0

Zippers are usually the first thing to go when you're wearing stuff that's too small.

You just sent it back 3 weeks ago? Didn't it break like 3 months ago?

Did you have to pay for return shipping?

Its too big for me really, but the L didnt fit at all in the shoulders - and a little extra room was good for layers to keep warm in the winter.

I sent it back a month ago, they received it May 1st. And yes, it broke over 2 months ago. Didnt have to pay return shipping.

It should have never broke in the first place though. You still had to pay to ship it to them though right?

Cool that they fixed it though. Local tailor shops can do the same work, for a couple bucks and have it back in the same day or a couple days, as opposed to weeks.

It's unbelievable that they didn't even ask for a receipt or anything. That's a great level of customer appreciation.

My only hope is, that the cheap, scheming bastards don't get a wind of this and ruin it for everyone in the future. Things like this always get abused.

off topic, but Competition Werkz has GREAT CS as well.

For some reason, the hinge on my fender eliminator broke, and if you know CW, theirs cost like $125. So the hinge broke, causing it to get bent up and bending the plate, and pushing into my rear hugger.

I emailed them, and they said that i must have had an early model of it. I had no reciept, as the previous owner had purchased and installed it.

They asked me for my address, and with no other questions asked (or ANY money) they sent me a complete, brand new KIT.

As for A*, my next jacket will be from them.

i also had issues with my zipper as well. the tab that you use to pull up on broke off one day when i was zipping my jacket up. fortunately i was able to fix my problem with a pair of pliers.

the only alpinestars product I've been disappointed with is their gloves, where 3 different sets had stitching come loose
