2004+ TL owners, what % do you change your oil at?
i wait till it tells me, it wont even be a % it will be like an email if you do it at 20% your just losing good oil its meant to last untill the car tells you to change it unless you drive real hard then i can uderstand

i get what you are saying. however, it's cheap enough to me it's no big deal. plus, the car gets driven to work which is only about <1.5 miles so I am concerned about fuel dillution.

I would just stick with the 3k rule. Oil is so cheap to replace that it really doesnt make sense to risk it. VW used to tell people they could go 5k miles under severe conditions between oil changes on the 1.8t motors and now they have lowered it to 3k miles due to oil having the tendancy to form sludge and ruin the engines. 3K is a good number and it can prevent any chance that sludge will develop because you are being over cautious. Better safe then sorry in my book.
