Default could Neptune be what killed my battery????

recently my check engine light has been coming on. Pretty sure it's the o2 sensor code, but that's beside the point. I just had to jumpstart my car because the battery was dead, and it's a brand new battery. I was sitting in the car, after turning it off, and i noticed that some of my climate control interior lights were STILL ON?!? They were still getting power somehow. I would say, yeah, that is what killed my battery....but to make things weirder to me, i tapped the brake and those interior lights went off!!!

I am running an older version of neptune, so i know there is some kind of glitch in the program that has since been assessed....but since i'm throwing a code, could it be NEPTUNE that killed my battery? Has anybody else had this problem before? Can you neptune experts chime in and give me some more info on this subject?

sounds like the aliens that live next to neptune messing around with you!

my guess is that neptune has nothing at all to do with your lights. sounds like a wiring issue.

i hope you get flammed for such a dumb question when you dont have an idea of what neptune is

Neptune isnt something added to ur car, is an editor

u got a wiring problem, a bad ground, or an electronic device on ur car going bad

Neptune caused my rear suspension to clunk around corners too.

I'm pretty sure that Neptune caused the left rear tire on my truck to go flat as well.

Seriously though, Neptune is not your problem, check your wiring.

you people obviously didn't read everything i wrote. I tapped the brake pedal (like when you are clearing codes) and that's when i noticed a climate control light turned off. If you have neptune, then you know what i'm talking about. And this has never happened before until my car threw the code.

What i'm saying is this.......if you don't clear the codes, is the car still pulling some kind of electrical signal? This is referring to the neptune program before the update a few months ago.

By the way, thanks for the flames, they were hilarious.

Those are seperate circuits. The climate control/dash lights have nothing to do with the ECU. You likely have a short somewhere, and if the brake pedal really caused those lights to turn off, the pedal probably seperated some crossed wires.

that sounds very likely, i'll have to go check that out. thank you for actually thinking about my problem before posting, unlike others who just want to flame me.

by the way, i didn't start this thread to bring down neptune.....in case anybody thinks that. I am actually going to get retuned very soon and I will be sticking with neptune. I just wanted some insight on my problem. I'm still new to the turbo world as well as any engine managment system.

Go ahead, flame away. That's what honda-tech is all about nowadays, right?
