I've the autometer water temp gauge installed. At first I tried to tap into the Engine coolant temp swtich ( ECT) ; told by someone who has a B16....anyway, I got temp reading from that BUT it also got the CEL turn on. I guess that person has a OBDI engine.

Finally, I put the autometer sensor drilled into the Water Outlet Cover aka "water neck " and everything is fine. The water outlet cover is at the top of engine block where its connect the upper radiator hose and the engine.

FYI.. Water outlet cover part number: 19315P30J01 ~$13.00

You can try tap into the ECT sensor first to see if it work. This should be the eziest way to do it. Good luck
