Default Smoked headlights/tails

How exactly do you go about smoking your headlights or tails to give them a darker tint? Does anyone have any pictures of it done? I searched but nothing came up.

i dont understand why u would want to smoke ur headlights.. it will just make them worse at night, they wont be as bright, and you wont be able to see as much. if you mean just smoking the housings tho, painting around the headlights black, not the actual lense, then try searching, but just to help here is one of many links

as for taillights, thats also illegal, since the lights will no longer be as bright, although im sure you could always use a tint? either the film you put on ur windows or maybe a spray on version. or there are also "smoked" taillight covers available
hope this helps ya out a bit

Tint spray either from a hobby shop or a product called nightshade. You need to throughly clean your lights, mix of water and soap or diluted alchol and clean the surface. You can also sand it with fine sandpaper for better adhesion afterwards. Then you need to lay down thin coats letting it dry completely in between each coat, around 10-15mins. Layer till it's the darkness you want and then for added protection, add a couple of thin coats of clearcoat.

Or you can just go to http://www.Lamin-X.com or http://www.Stickercity.com and buy smoke film and cut and paste over your lights. Good luck and unless you have very bright HID's in your headlights I would no recommend smoking them unless it's a very light smoke. As for tail lights, as long as the reflector is still visible and operational, you should be fine.
