hi, i was wondering if anyone might know what i should do .. i live in england, and i have a prelude vtec 1996 japanese import, which ive driven for over 2 years. after about 6 months, the engine check light started to come on often while driving, and around this time the speedo stopped working. now and again the speedo works - normally when the car has been driven for about half an hour or more continuously. i notice that when the speedo is not working, there is a slight drop in power. after driving for a while, the speedo begins to work and the slight increase in power which happens at the same time is quite noticable. i took it to a honda garage for diagnosis and they said it could be engine management system, but only way to find out was to leave car with them for 2 days at £70/hour to check. i cant afford this and have driven the car with engine check light on like this for over a year with no problems, apart from the ones listed .. i wonder if i get the speedo fixed will it sort it out? are the problms linked? please help.. thanks
