Default Getting a crease out?

So I've started on the body repair on my hatch. One part that I need some guidance on is getting a crease out.

Its on the passenger's side and goes a good bit down the door into the rear quarter panel. I can get to some of it from inside the passenger side door. I'm just not sure how to go about getting it out.

Any ideas?

just take the door panel off the inside of the door and push it out...you could use anything to push it out...but you might also want to consider buying a whole new door..that would work well too and it would also be cheap

Thats pretty much the only way to do it. Set the door on the grass or lawn or something soft. Then take the inside panel off. Remove anything in your way and carefully with a hammer bang it out as flat as you can. Then when you are done flip the door over and bang flat any high spots. Then go from there sand, bondo and sand.

f it, buy a whole new door, your work might not come out perfect and it will be very noticable when you paint it.

I'm not trying to say you suck, just trying to save you the trouble of having to do all that work and having it come out less than perfect.

Hit up the local junkyard, i was at mine and saw at least 3 hatchbacks with good doors!

in autobody we use something called "wiggle wire" to take that out... but its pointless to ever rapair that door when @ cost it would be cheaper to get a replacement door @ junkyard for 55 dollars

Thanks for the replies.

I think, for now, I'm going to try & bang most of it out. Just to get me by. Then I'll attempt to locate a door at a junkyard.

hey it looks like it has been pushed in there pretty far...when you hammer it back out it might get weak on you and want to pop in and out, if it does this just hit the metal up with a torch to actually shirk it back into place
then sand, bondo and sand.
good luck

i do, they work good but that door will never be back to smooth without a lump or 2 of body filler. i vote on the new door (my passenger door looks the same, got a mint extra door for $40.)

hey hammer and dollie method is what you actually use when doing any type of bodywork...but you metal is still going to flex causing it to always want to pop in and out.

but like we said before door skins cost almost just as much because you have to buy them from like a dealer not a junkyard...and they are a pain in the *** to install..
cheaper and easyer to just get a door at a junkyard

i actually have a 91 si passenger door that i would sell but it would cost to much to ship it where you live

expletive it. put stickers on it, you will hide the crease and go faster at the same time
