ls tranny question
i just finished my ls swap into my 90 civic and now when the tranny is in gear it feels like it isnt, i can move the shifter all around like its out of gear. i pulled the tranny apart before the install and everything looked great. im thinking worn shift link bushings or something?
this is a YS1 tranny impretty sure thats a 92-93 GSR just incase that has something to do with it.
if anyone has had this problem please post up.
thanks

I thought YS1 was a B16A with LSD tranny?
Either way, for the price of new bushings you should just replace them for the fell. I doubt it's the tranny that's fucked. I've only seen 1 tranny lock itself in a gear, D series tranny blew up in 2nd gear, happened twice to the same driver, that should tell you something about the driver haha.

The YS-1 was available in the US as an LS and a GSR model
It also was available in Japan as a XSi Integra in LSD and non-LSD
I would disconnect the linkage and put the car into gear directly at the transmission and make sure that it selects each gear. If it does I would look past the internals of the transmission and towards the linkage and possibly the clutch.

check the little things first...its a rubber bushing thats exposed to the elements...over 16 years its gonna dry out and fatigue...like i said mine did the exact same thing...it had so much play when it was in gear it started to bother me with the daily driving...i used the es bushing and a generic short shifter and it felt soo much better
look at your differential...if it is a hole through it its lsd...but if their is a piece of metal in there than its not...probably doesnt make sense the way i said it...but look in their u will immediately know what im talkin about
Ok...I'm just guessing but you cut and welded your linkage from a teg or you hav used linkage??? if so i know your problem, I've bought 2 2g tegs that had this problem now, feels like its in N in every gear but drives fine, the joints in the linkage are worn out , you need some new linkage or atleast the end that goes on the tranny...HTH
