Question for the Harbor Freight Tig Welder owners....
Will welder be able to weld aluminum too?

If modifications are necessary to convert it to be able to do aluminum, what needs to be done? Thanks in advance.

In the 'hf tig welder' thread, half way in, it says DC on aluminum is possible, but only with ultra pure helium gas, and at a higher cfm. My guess it would be okay for a low quantity welds, and get expensive quickly if you do it a lot.
not possible to a beginner...
unless you built another inverter stage to turn the DC to AC and somehow upped the voltage coming out of the hf inverter.
