remove axles just from tranny
I'm tryin to pull out a motor and tryin to remove the axles.
Is there a way to just remove the axel from the tranny or do I have to remove the whole axle from both the tranny and hub?

remove the axle from the hub 32mm then drain the tranny fluid. then take each side loose from the tranny and pull them away. you do not have too take the shock fork off to do this but you will need to remove the knuckle from the bottom ball joint or top .
You should so they dont accidently fall apart inside the boot. That sucks when it happens. You can pop the LCA ball joint out and make room to slide out the axle, then tie them to the UCA so they dont flop around, just zip tie it in the location you pull it out so it doesn't flop around or point downwards. Then you should be clear. But I take them out for ease, if you slide the engine down (hoist) or from the side (jack stands w/o an engine hoist) you should take them out for ease.
