Went to the track today with my Hybrid, I got times to critique!!!
This was the first time I've been to a track to drag racemy car, It was a beautiful day, probably high 70's low 80's. It was at Gateway International Raceway in Illinois/Missouri. It was specially rented out, so there wasn't a crowd, I could race, drive back around and race again without waiting. Let me give you the heads up on my car...
93 Honda del Sol S with a B16A3 swap and a auto to manual swap, AEM Cold air intake, DC 4-2-1 header, exhaust, and AEM pullies. Heavy 16" rims in the back, stock 13" steelies in the front(only because I bent one of my good rims on a pothole), full interior, half tank of gas.
I don't have the timeslips for my first few runs because I didn't know they were printing them at the start line, but my first run was a 15.16, I can't remember what I got on my next 2 runs, but they were just a little worse than that. My best run was this...
R/T ... .519____ 1.098
60' ... 2.402____ 2.404
330 ... 6.621____ 6.480
1/8 ... 10.024 ____ 9.796
MPH ... 73.83 ____ 74.61
1000 ... 12.958____ 12.639
1/4 ... 15.413____ 15.058
MPH ... 91.14 ____ 93.12
I'm on the right, a RSX type S was on the left
On one run I screwed up going into 3rd gear twice, and the RSX only beat me by .002 seconds
My buddy Terry got this time in my car...
R/T ... .713____ 1.004
60' ... 2.389 ____ 2.422
330 ... 6.498____ 6.589
1/8 ... 9.825 ____ 10.116
MPH ... 74.87 ____ 70.51
1000 ... 12.672____ 13.088
1/4 ... 15.090 ____ 15.584
MPH ... 93.27 ____ 90.94
My car is on the left. I know I can break into the 14's, I probably would have eventually with more practice, but it started raining. It was definitly fun though. It would be cool if you guys could critique my timeslips.

Work on your 60' times! You should be getting 2.2-2.3 (or lower?). I think your mph indicates that you could be significantly faster.
Yeah, 60' times could be better. What tires and pressures were you running up front? With a better launch you'll definitely be in the high 14s.
I had the crappy 13" rims with some crappy tires, I don't even know the brand. I think the brand was actually different on the left and right side. So that definitly held me back. But thats good news to hear that I should be into the 14.6's!
