How do i add refrigerant to my civic?

Default How do i add refrigerant to my civic?

It's a eg sedan. I'm confused of where to put it and how to check the psi.

bring it to a shop. you need to have a refrigerant ticket to work with freon.

I just want to re-charge the system. I don't think they would sell it at target if you need a ticket to do it.

You don't need a license to use freon. You will need a retro-fit kit to convert it to R134a if it has not already been converted. They do not sell R12 anymore. If you have to convert it, make sure you empty all the R12 out first. Then screw on the hose to the Blue connector right in front when you open the hood. Add freon until it gets to the green on the gauge.
