Default Car idles really low but does not die?? Need help!!

My car idles at 2-400 RPMs but does not die. The car does not terribly shake like it is going to die, but it does shake a little. I tried adjusting the idle control valve (I'm not sure what its called exactly, the flathead screw on the intake manifold) but it doesn't do anything. Any ideas?

my civic does the same. i adjusted the idle control also with no luck, think it needs a valve adjustment. saves gas though at stop lights

check for VAC leaks, and adjust the screw on the throttle body not the intake manifold. you could have a bad IAC (Idle Air Control Valve)

platinum.

I have a similar problem.

When the cooling fan kicks on it becomes even worse.

IACV is bad imo. Find one for cheap at a junkyard or borrow a friends. Make sure you seal it up

has anyone ever messed with your timing, or it might be that your valves might need to be adjusted.

Why do you always say "platinum" at the end of your posts?

My fault, I meant the throttle body.

No, there is no CEL.

I had 60k maintenance done at Honda, but I thought they don't touch the timing belt until 90k maintenance?
