Default Possible electrical problem...Headlight bulbs keep blowing...

I am by no means an electrician and I think that I have a problem here. I am currently letting my mom drive my 90 Civic hatch standard due to cost of gas in her Jeep, and the other day I noticed that the driver side headlight was out. Knowing that I would be driving the car that night and that she would be driving for the next month or so, I went ahead and bought two new headlights for it. Before leaving the auto parts store, I replaced the headlight (not touching the bulb with my fingers and not rubbing it on any grease or oil in the bay) and they both worked just fine. That was around 6:30pm this past saturday night. I get back in the car about 3hrs later and I am leaving my buddies house and BOTH headlights blow! So I think "well hell, bulbs were bad when I bought them I will just take them back and get some replacements." I go back around lunch time Sunday and they gladly replace the two bulbs and I leave. I come home and once again replace the blown bulbs from the day before...Turn them on and they work PERFECTLY! This morning I go to leave for work and I turn the headligts on and BAM, BOTH low beam bulbs blow again. Now keep in mind that none of the other lights (parking, turn signals, brake, reverse) have been going out nor are out and I dont have a fuse blown because I have already checked. So I try to cut them off and back on and get NOTHING. Get going down the road and try the high beams. As soon as they come on, they go from their normal "color" to a bright pinkish-red and BLOW!

This has beat all I have ever seen and I feel that I have an electrical problem and that power is surging to the headlights for some odd reason without blowing the fuses in the fuse box. If somebody could please give me some tips, pointers, advice, or hell point me in some direction, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks H-T!

its possibly a bad ground, the black wires coming from the lights -run them to a o ring terminal and use a self tapping sheetmetal screw and ground directly to the sheetmetal of the engine bay close to the lights. thats all i could think of thats really weird, also are the fuses in there now the proper ones i think they should be a 10amp maybe thay were replaced with a 30 or something? good luck

Fuses are in correct locations in fuse box and both high and low beams are running on 10amp...

Acutally, I'm changing my post. Check your under the hood fuses for your highbeams, if anything but the fuse is in there it will kill the bulb from over powering it. If that's good, check the power wire, make sure it is not groudning out. I had an issue in mine that my turn signal bulb power was touching the ground, and it would start to overpower my bulb...I simply patched them up and replaced my bulb, never another isssue again.
