Default HELP! brakes are really soft

Ok I have a 92 civic si, just got new rotors and pads and two new rear calipers. when the engine is running the pedal goes almost to the floor before any kind of braking occurs and its a really soft pedal. With the engine off you can build up pressure but it doesn't seem enough, because I compared it to my 93 accord with the engine off. I just got a new master cylinder because I thought that was the problem but it wasn't so Im out of ideas. I don't see any leaks anywhere either. Please help

sounds like you bled the brakes wrong. if it was fine before prior to the brake job, then most likly there is air in the lines

Mine started when I took the master cylinder out of the booster to make room to get to the IAT. When i put it back on it just like how i took it off it started the soft brakes, I don't think I moved or broke anything because it only goes on one way.

I think you need to bleed your brakes some more. Just keep going until you have clean fluid coming out and go a little further after that.

Make sure you cycle all of the air out of teh MS BEFORE you put the brake lines on.

mabey you have a small hole in your lines or hoses chack to see if n e fluid is coming out that could cause them to be soft

the mc has just been replaced by a trusted mechanic and the pedal still feels the same for me. No air in line.

yeah my sister's car has the same thing. i bled the brakes twice, still soft. swapped my master cyl & booster in there, bled again, still soft. i can push the pedal all the way to the floor easily. the brakes don't really start to grab till it's about 1" from the floor. her master cyl is in my car now and my pedal is rock solid, wtf is going on?

no leaks that i can see anywhere either. running the cobalt fluid in both cars, mine is rock solid, her's is really spongey. bled multiple times, there's no way air is in there, wtf??
