i am getting a ysi with lsd to mate to my b16a, anyone have this combo? just curious if you like it or not.

 

i have a y1 on my b18c...no LSD though...i really wish i had the LSD...i hate it when im stuck with a bunch of torque steer during launches...i dont like the 5th gear on the y1...RPMS are way too high on the freeway

 

you like the rest of the gears? i am getting my tranny for $675 so i am jumping on it cause i know they are worth alot more than that.

 

yea 1-4 gears are nice and short...very good acceleration....i paid 400 shipped for my y1 non-LSD...kinda thought i paid too much...

 

$400 shipped is good, you can always find stuff cheaper but i dont have time to play around with all the crap you have to worry about. i just find a guy that is reliable and stick with him. i pay a little more for most of my stuff but i have had no problems.

 

Yeah I hated that. I had a y1 with lsd. And I hated when I was driving with it on the highway. Too bad I blew it up on the track.

 

yeah i got the damn y1 too. but with lsd. i still dont like it. i'm okay with 5th gear but the fd sucks eggs. my friend has the ys1 and likes it alot. even more then his s1. seems like the 92-93 style trannys dont go out as much as the 90-91 style. hmm.

 

does the ys1 have better gearing? i looked up all the specs, but they dont mean anything to me i want peoples real driving impressions. the ys1 w/lsd i am getting is a jdm one cause the us one never came with lsd.

 

so what do you guys think of the s1 tranny?

 

I have the JDM YS1 without LSD. The gearing is nice and close.

 

is it any good for high speed travel?
