Default rubbing coumpound

So i painted my car yesterday and it has a few runs and orange peel. I planned on wetsanding and then polishing but thought i give rubbing coumpound a shot first. It is taking out almost all the orange peel and it looks MUCH better. The only problem is, the shine is not like before.
It is single stage paint, would i just need to wax or polish after the rubbing compound to bring back the shine?

No waxing for at least 30 days. Go to a body shop and ask them what they use. There should be like a 3 stage type thing.
