88-91 h22 swap question need help asap
i was thinking about putting a h22 im my 89 hatch si and had a few questions. i have heard if your car is lowered at all you will snap axles all the time. if so what axles would you go with. is there a certain suspension to put on that makes a nice difference. what would they run in this car full interior and lastly are they worth the money in these cars and are they still good daily drives thanks for all positive feedback

H22 swap is an excellent choice... lowering the car isn't going to snap an axle, all that torque is going to snap axles
going with stock axles (you'll likely have to go with 1 accord, one LS axle) will work, but be prepared to be quite familiar with the people at autozone or napa if you choose this route...aftermarket axles are strongly recommended... your main concerns regarding the suspension should be related to assisting you with traction so sway bars/tie bars and a traction bar are also recommended along with some decent rubber... this swap is also very cost effective, however you need to be prepared for the actual swap (quite different then many others swaps as some modification and fabrication will be required)... i suggest you do quite a bit more research on all these aspects of it before you decide on this swap, however should you be successful you won't regret the results
good luck to you and eager to see how you do should you choose to go the H22 route

this is a moot point at this juncture... what i would do is assess your budget at the moment... figure out how much the swap will cost you initially, then see if you're going to do the actual swap or pay to get it done, then figure out how much money you have left then see what you're going to be able to get; i can pm you the things you're going to need along with the motor swap if you like... good luck to you and let me know, im very interested in how your swap turns out and will be of assistance should you need it
