Default 88 CRX DX LCA question

As it states, I have an 88 DX, the model with the pain in the *** suspension that makes it hard to find struts for the rear for a decent price. I have 2 rear tokico's from an 89-91 but they obviously dont fit. I was curious, could I swap in stock 89-91 LCA's without a problem or do I need the whole rear suspension? OR what LCA's could I use that would be easy to come across without breaking my wallet. Please any help would be great. Thanks!

yes any 89-91 control arms will work, you might as well get si ones, this way if you decide to upgrade to a rear swaybar the mounting holes on the arm are already there

I don't think it's a pain in the but to find anything for it, but yes, you can swap over the LCA's.

If I keep these 88 DX LCA's are there any other type of struts I can use besides model specific... I have seen some posts that say that integra struts will fit into the 88 LCA's, but a definate answer would be great. What are some suspension options that I have? thanks in advance for the help.

There are quite a few companies that make the 88 style rear struts, just look around. They do cost a bit more though.

ITR rear shocks will fit, if you buy them through say Bilsteein they use the same part number for the ITR and 88 CRX rear shocks.

I wouldn't recommend it, the Integra arms are longer.
