Default New tach question.

Ok, before anyone says "your factory tach works just fine" let me asure (SP) you that it doesn't, and hasn't for months now. Some of you may remember the post I made about it freaking out past 4k. Well, It hasn't been fixed and I am loosing hope.

Thus, I want to get an aftermarket tach. partly to use as diag for fixing the factory tach, partly so i don't have to fix the factory tach But I have specific requierments.

A) I want it to fit right infront of the old tach, mounted to the gauge bezel, so that it covers up the old tach as best as posible.

B) I would like for it to be black to match the rest of the quages as best as posible.

C) I do not want a tacky (no pun intended) shift light if possible.

anyone know one that would meet what I want? or have pictures of this being done before?

thanks guys.

anyone have any cheaper alternatives?

if I was going to spend that kind of cash I would just get a new JDM cluster.

try using an LS or GSR cluster. to see if it works past 4k. and then if it does sell yours and buy another one. probably a 40-60$ cost on your part. i dont think its your cluster thats broken though. and who knows... the tach might do the same thing. why not get a wiring diagram of your cluster pinouts. and use the same wires you would use for your cool racing tach cluttering up your cluster, and pin them into your cluster harness. rawRR
