Default accord parts

I have a 96 accord automatic, and since it is an automatic I figure its not too much I can do but is there anything I can add to the engine to give it a little more acceleration?

well it doesn't hurt to start him off...look for intake, headers, exhaust...the three basic bolt-ons that most people get (performance also depends on what brand you get). Then you get into more expensive parts like an intake manifold, cam gears..more complicated parts. By the way, these are not garunteed to give you the acceleration or horsepower that you desire...i'm just telling you what a lot of people start off with, the basics.

yes, the search feature is your best friend as this has been cover many times before.

But how about a little more info as well, like is your Accord I4 or V6? DX, LX, EX?

Pretty much all topics you could think of is covered in any forum thats been going on for more than two years....i'd still give you the same advice even if you had a v6, intake, headers, exhaust...if you have a manual and your looking to spend money for speed...turbo...

I/H/E are pretty expensive for like, maybe 5 hp. and it is an automatic so spending all that cash for forced induction doesnt make that much sense IMO

in sound?

like it was already stated, I/H/E are only going to get you minimal gains. Actually, since you already have the EX header, I wouldn't switch that. If you want to do the intake, as long as you don't have to worry about having to use CARB legal parts, just buy an intake off eBay and switch the filter with a K&N or something better than what it comes with.

But with your auto tranny, thats going to be your biggest thing holding you back. A manual tranny swap would probably help your acceleration the most.
