something could have clogged the exhaust ie honey comb from the cat, what do you have for exhaust? any loss in performance

Your exhaust could have heated up and started expanding thus putting stress on the brakcets and taking the "tinney" sound out. I know that during dyno runs a EVO exhaust can grow 6 inches or more.
