Is there a way to distinguish a Skunk 2 Ecu from the other ECUs? Is there a way to tell?
Well, not really. A Skunk 2 ECU is just a P28 chipped to their spec. You can open up the ECU and see if they marked the "chip" on the board or not. If you don't know where to look, try this http://www.hondata.com/techecuanatomy.html
I have a skunk2 ecu and the only way I can tell is that it has a big sticker on the case of the computer that reads "SKUNK2" with a serial number on it. i never opened the ecu to see if a chip was marked.
The specs are 5800 rpm VTEC cross over with a 9500 rpm redline.
But the only way to tell for sure is to read the chip and compare it to a real Skunk 2 chip.
